Trafficking women for flesh trade abroad: Court denies bail to accused

KOCHI: The court has rejected the bail plea of two persons accused in the case in which women were deceptively trafficked to a Gulf country for prostitution.    

Justice B Sudheendran rejected the bail plea of Kozhikode Balussery native Abdul Nasar and Kollam Chandanathoppu native Shajitha on Friday.

According to the case, women were sent to Bahrain in visiting visas after assuring them the jobs of housemaids. After reaching there, they were forced into sex trade. The police had arrested the sixth accused in the case Nazar on January 13. The seventh accused in the case, Shajitha, was arrested on January 16.
