Sudheeran’s bomb turned damp cracker: Kodiyeri

KANNUR: Alluding to CPM leader P Jayarajan getting bail from Thalassery court, party State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said the bomb saved by KPCC president V M Sudheeran for the election has turned a damp cracker. “The development has shattered the hopes of the RSS and Congress, who wanted to keep Jayarajan behind the bars during election time,”Kodiyeri said at a press conference here on Wednesday.

“Under pressure from the BJP, the CBI trapped Jayarajan in a fake case. The CBI cut a sorry figure before the judge by making funny illogical arguments in the court. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has asked BJP State president Kummanam Rajasekharan to make sure that Jayarajan remained in the jail till the election got over. He was trapped with this intention,” Kodiyeri alleged.

Kodiyeri said cases were forged against Jayarajan as the BJP could not tolerate the fact that many of their men were leaving the party to join the CPM. A chunk of BJP-RSS leaders like O K Vasu, Asokan and Sudheesh are  cooperating with the CPM.  “Seeing the CPM as a big threat to the RSS and BJP, Mohan Bhagwat connived with Amit Shah to trap Jayarajan. Welcoming this, Sudheeran also engaged in wool-gathering,” he alleged.
