Siblings drown in pond

KADAKKAL: Two kids died while they were engaged in drawing drinking water from the pond. The incident happened when they accidentally tripped and fell into the pond.  

The two have been identified as Sandra (6) and Sanjana (4), daughters of Sadasivankani and Anila. The ghastly incident happened Wednesday afternoon at Kocharippa in Kadakkal.

Sadasivan went in search of them as they didn’t return even after a long time. He saw the pots floating but the two were missing. He immediately jumped into the pond and recovered the bodies of the two. Though they were taken to the hospital, their lives could not be saved.

The bodies were handed over to the relatives after post mortem. A case has been registered.
