THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Not only in the case of liberalisation but also for corruption, the BJP government is a step ahead of the former UPA government, CPM Politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan has said sarcastically.
What the BJP government under Narendra Modi is trying to do is to compete with the UPA in neo-liberalisation polices, anti-people activities and corruption and attain first spot. He was speaking after inaugurating the State conference of PSC Employees Union at Thiruvananthapuram.
The government led by Manmohan Singh that ruled the nation for ten years had pushed it into complete discontentment. The Modi government had come up with new hopes and promises. One of the big promises was that the government will bring back black money stashed away in banks abroad. Even after so many months , it has not happened. The NDA had opposed Foreign Direct Investment when the UPA tried to implement it during its tenure but now ironically, BJP is batting for that,” Pinarayi said.
