Youth dies in bike-jeep collision

 
ATTINGAL: A youth died after a jeep hit the bike he was riding. The dead has been identified as Vijayan (41), a resident of Velarkudi Manjavila house and a taxi driver at Attingal Taxi stand.    

Vijayan’s friend Murukan who was pillion riding has been admitted to Thiruvananthapuram medical college hospital with severe injuries. The accident happened on Wednesday at 9 pm at Palakkunnu near Mamam.

Vijayan and Murukan were travelling towards Thiruvananthapuram from Attingal. A Bolero jeep that was behind their bike had hit the rear side of their vehicle. Due to the impact of the collision both were thrown off to the road. Though both were rushed to the medical college, Vijayan succumbed to his injuries today early morning. Attingal police have registered case in this connection.
