THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There is a dispute in the UDF in connection with the local body polls. The Muslim League’s demand that polls should be conducted as per the formation of new wards comes at a time the chief minister will be holding talks with the state election commission today. The League is of the same stand taken earlier. The meet was convened at Minister P K Kunhalikutty’s house. The league ministers will move the court against the high court verdict.
If League is adamant on the stand that polls should be conducted on the basis of new wards, then things will not move so easily. Polls cannot be conducted in October. The demand of the League is at a time the chief minister said the polls cannot be delayed.
