THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The report of the finance department regarding the diversion of fund in the PSC is misleading, said its chairman K S Radhakrishnan. Talking to the media, he said the Comptroller & Auditor General has himself clarified that there is no such thing in the commission.
The claim of the finance department that an amount of Rs 10 crore was given in excess is wrong, only 2 crore was given. The allegation over the fund diverted is totally baseless, he said. The finance department is giving wrong news against the commission. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy had not directed the officials of the finance department to conduct an inspection in the commission.
The commission had never diverted any funds, he added. The chairman had called on the chief minister this morning as part of ending the standoff between the two.
