Bar owners file plea in SC

NEW DELHI: Bar owners Thursday filed a plea in the Supreme Court against the high court verdict granting bar license only to five star hotels. The plea was filed by four owners of four star hotels. The plea has pointed the decision of the high court as discriminatory. The bar owners also informed the court that loss of work was not considered when the bars are closed.

The decision of the government granting bar license only to five star hotels is biased. The high court upheld this decision without taking into account the facts and so the order should be cancelled.

Meantime, the government filed an objection plea against the bar owners plea. The court will hear government’s argument when the bar owners’ plea are considered.
