THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Public Works Minister Ibrahim Kunju has sent a legal notice to K B Ganesh Kumar MLA. The notice sent through senior counsel Raman Pillai of the Kerala High Court has asked the MLA to withdraw the allegation defaming him and his department and publicly apologize or else criminal procedures will be taken.
Ganesh had alleged in the assembly that the minister, his family and some from his personal staff, had amazed wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income. His statement was also recorded in the Lok Ayuktha. He alleged major irregularities in the establishment of crash barriers for road safety and in the consultancy deals of public works department. The minister’s response was that Ganesh was personally insulting him. Ganesh can approach the court if there are complaints and is trying to gain media attention, the minister said.
