THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has said that he was also an accused in a murder case while he was contesting for the first time in an election. “But later, that case was dismissed. Even for once in my lifetime I had not seen that person who was alleged to have been murdered by me,” he said.
Kodiyeri Balakrishnan was talking to media persons at Press Club’s ‘ Janavidhi’ programme on Saturday. He made the above revelation when asked about the party’s decision to field Fazal murder case accused Karayi Chandrasekharan and Karayi Rajan as candidates in Kannur.
“Karayis has no connection with the murder. The UDF government had forged fake case against them. This reality should be discussed and the election is an opportunity for that. Let the people also discuss this,” Kodiyeri added.
