THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: DGP T P Senkumar said they are firm on the circular released in connection with the killing of stray dogs. Addressing a press meet, he said they will not go back from their stand in taking action against those killing the stray dogs.
He said they have not obtained the order of the human rights commission in connection with the circular released by them. A reply will be given as soon as it is obtained. The high court should seek an explanation from us if any violation has taken place. We cannot act as per the decision of the all-party meet, he added.
The influence of Maoists is witnessed in forest areas of the state. A search has been intensified in these places. Two persons who fired at the police in Attappady have been identified.
