UDF takes action against renegades

MALAPPURAM: The UDF has started taking joint disciplinary action against party renegades in Malappuram as they have failed to withdraw their nominations for the local body election, despite the ultimatum given by the Front.

Muslim League stripped 15 members of their party membership on Tuesday. DCC also clarified that they had taken action against the 15.

KPCC president V M Sudheeran and Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala had earlier stated that those candidates not withdrawing the nominations at the specified time will not be in their party.
