THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan has said the Congress and BJP have stopped short of denouncing the tie-ups between the SNDP and BJP because of their secret relationship with them.
“Though KPCC President V M Sudheeran has been vaguely saying something against the tie-up, he is unable to make the Congress or UDF take some strong stand against the BJP and SNDP,” he said in a statement on Saturday.
“Oommen Chandy and UDF are contemplating on means to attract Hindu votes by hook or crook. It is a pity that UDF allies Muslim League and Kerala Congress are also having the same attitude.”
He also asks all secular-democratic forces to identify the opportunism of the Congress who is singing paean to the Sangh Parivar’s “diktats on what one should eat”.
