Bomb blast: Pendrive contains life-threat to PM

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a shocking a revelation, investigating officers today said that the pen drive recovered from the Malappuram blast site contained messages that gave life threat to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In the message, the ultra-wing called BASE movement says that they would kill union ministers and BJP leaders besides Modi.

It further says the group will wage attack on strategically important centres like New Delhi and Red Fort. The pen drive contains pictures of Parliament house. In a statement, it owes the responsibility of bomb blasts in Kollam, Andhra Pradesh and Chittoor.

Base Movement is the South Indian wing and sleeper cell of international terror group Al Qaeda . In the box found near the blast spot, there was a pamphlet with English text about the organisation with the picture of Osama Bin Laden.

“We will avenge the murder of a youth called Muhammed Akhlaq, who was allegedly beaten to death in beef issue. If such incidents repeat, again blasts will happen and your days are numbered. The murder of Muhammed Akhlaq has brought shame to the nation and democratic courts,” says the pamphlet “in the name of Allah, Base Movement”.

The pen drive contains the maps of Uttar Pradesh and neighbouring states, as well.
