KANNUR: Miscreants attacked the house of Manseed arrested by the NIA from Kanakamala for his alleged terrorist links. His house near Peringalam health centre in the district was attacked Monday morning at 1 am. His parents and sister were at home at the time of the incident. The miscreants fled the place when the inmates woke up. They damaged the window panes of the house.
Manseed, who was abroad was arrested on October 2 along with his aides. The police reached the spot and examined the house.
The NIA arrested the five-member team including Manseed when they were holding a secret meeting. Abu Basheer of Coimbatore, Swalih Mohammed of Thrissur, Safwan of Malappuram, Jasim of Kozhikode and Manseed were arrested by the NIA. Ramshad of Kuttiyadi was also arrested after questioning the five. On the basis of the information received from them, two more were arrested from Coimbatore.
