Conspiracy hatched to break my career record, says K M Abraham

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A conspiracy is being hatched to break my track record in civil service, said additional chief secretary (finance department) K M Abraham said. The links between the officials and politicians are behind it, he revealed this to the vigilance who questioned him in the disproportionate assets case.

Various financial irregularities in the Cashew Corporation was noticed by me. This led to an enmity towards me. Former managing director of the corporation Ratheesh, Chairman and INTUC chairman R Chandrashekaran and complainant Joemon Puthenpurackal are behind the move, alleged Abraham. He sought to examine their phone calls. They just want to blemish my record. He denied all the allegations against him.

His statements were recorded by a team led by vigilance special cell SP Rajendran on a specially prepared questionnaire. A visit to his house by the vigilance team to measure the area of his house had sparked a controversy.
