THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Finance Minister Thomas Isaac has informed the assembly that KSRTC has been exempted from Green Cess levied on vehicles that are more than ten year old.
The announcement for the green tax had been announced during the budget speech.
The decision to collect Green Cess from more than-ten year-old vehicles was taken as part of the government’s objective to reduce air pollution.
The minister also added that probe would also be held into attempts to illegally draw lottery prize money using fake lotteries.
