I’ve not insulted leaders, says P C George

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Whip P C George appeared before the Privileges and Ethics Committee and said the allegations that he publicly insulted veteran leaders K R Gowri Amma and T V Thomas are totally baseless.

George was asked to appear before the panel after a complaint was lodged by deputy opposition leader Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. The panel is chaired by K Muraleedharan.

Kodiyeri in the complaint had stated that George had crossed the limits of decency in his comments on political leaders held in high esteem.
