KANNUR: A recently married couple, hailing from Kannur, died in an accident near Krishnarajapuram in Bangalore on Tuesday. Another person was seriously injured. The accident happened at around noon.
The dead have been identified as Bangalore Narayana Hridayalaya hospital H R Manager Tony Mathew (28), a native of Aalakkad and his wife Rinu. Tony’s father who got injured has been admitted to a private hospital in Bangalore.
Tony had married Rinu, a native of Iritti Kiliyanthara and a nurse in the same hospital just one month ago. Tony was the only son of Mathew and Vatsamma.
The car in which they were travelling had hit the divider, lost control and collided with a bus that was coming from the opposite direction. The couple died on the spot. The accident victims were returning to Bangalore on Monday evening after attending their relative’s marriage in Kerala.
