KANNUR: There are hints that Minister Mohanan will migrate to Congress, if Janata Dal (U) leaves the UDF. Mohanan loyalists feel that leaving the UDF will be suicidal as Veerendra Kumar and his son and MLA M V Shreyamskumar have been offered a safe position in the next “expected” LDF government.
There are also a group in the JD(U) which has taken exception to Veerendra Kumar’s policies.
The group including Veerendrakumar and son M V Shreyams kumar has mentally taken the preparation to leave UDF. But circles close to Mohanan is not ready to accept that stand. However, Mohanan has not revealed anything about Veerendra Kumar’s future plans.
Meanwhile, CPM State Committee is also ready to welcome the entry of Janata Dal (U) headed by M P Veerendra Kumar into the LDF. The green signal for this was received when CPM State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said that the ball was JD(U) ‘s court and just, they had to take a final decision.
