Rs 2017 crore to extend Kochi Metro till Kakkanad

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has said that Rs 2017.46 crore project will be prepared to extend Kochi Metro till Kakkanad. The metro will be extended from Kaloor to Kakkanad. In between them, there will be 11 stations. Chief Minister Oomen Chandy informed this during Cabinet briefing.  

“The cabinet also decided to form Thanneerthada authority. Rs six crore was set apart to open Alappuzha Komalapuram spinning mill. It was decided to disburse Rs 4.5 crore arrears to farmers towards Pumping subsidy in Alappuzha. Urban affairs minister Manjalamkuzhi Ali headed cabinet subcommittee comprising Health, Revenue, Public department ministers was appointed by the cabinet to continue with the works under Operation Anantha. The committee will meet today,” the minister has said.
