Voicing against leadership is not factionalism, says VS

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: After a short break, opposition leader and central committee member V S Achuthanandan came down heavily against the CPM stare leadership. There is nothing wrong in voicing against the party leadership and it should not be seen as factionalism. Factionalism is like helping the opponents, he said this while responding to the formation of the CPM state secretariat.

VS also criticized state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. He has the same stand as that of the old secretary. Some of his opinions hint that, he said.

Secular parties like the RSP and Veerendra Kumar faction were expelled from the Left Front. I’ll take the initiative to bring them back. The leadership which came after 2004 is the reason for the disintegration of the Left front, he said.

Veerendra Kumar was not duly considered and given the deserved seat. The leadership after joining hands with communal parities denied seats to those in the front, he said.
