Sudheeran warns of dire consequences

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC chief V M Sudheeran has warned of dire consequences if the government is not functioned smoothly. The government is not moving in the right path and if it’s functioning is not improved, it will be difficult for the UDF to return back to power in the next assembly polls. He criticized the government at the executive meet of the KPCC. Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala too agreed with Sudheeran’s opinion.

The government will suffer a setback if the government do not take steps benefiting the people. Immediate steps should be taken to improve the government’s functioning. Soon after the cabinet meet, ministers go to various places for other programmes. Along with that, the congress ministers should be in the capital city for four days and make the administration more effective.

There is a complaint that due consideration is not given to party activists in ministers’ offices. It should be solved and so has directed to make the functioning of ministers’ offices more systematic, he told reporters later. The KPCC has asked the government to form a common criteria for transfers. Welfare pensions should be settled at the earliest.

Ramesh Chennithala, who supported Sudheeran pointed out that some flaws have been detected from government’s side. After examining the errors, steps should be taken to rectify it.  UDF’s zonal jathas need not be postponed following pressure from allied parties. The meet dismissed the opinion of K M Mani that the jathas need be held after the probe is completed in the bar scam case.

If anybody complies with the demand of Mani, then the party will be destroyed, said V D Satheesan MLA
