THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former Chief Whip P C George told vigilance that the bar association had offered bribe to Ministers K M Mani and K Babu as per the instruction of the chief minister. Rajkumar Unni, representative of bar association, revealed this to me, George told vigilance.
Rs 10 crore was given to Babu and one crore to Mani. The amount of one crore was given to Mani in three instalments at Pala and Thiruvananthapuram. Mani was annoyed for offering more to Babu and demanded 5 crore. Mani’s wife Kuttiyamma and son Jose K Mani are misusing the minister’s power.
The vigilance recorded the statement of George as per his instruction at the MLA hostel.
