Congress mouthpiece criticises JD (U)

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The JD (U) led by M P Veerendra Kumar has invited a sharp reaction from Veekshanam, the mouthpiece of the Congress, at a time when speculations are rife that they will return to the Left Front. Though they have not mentioned the name of Veerendra Kumar, the mouthpiece have given a message asking them not to be ungrateful.

If anybody tries to betray the congress, history will not pardon them and their place will be with Judas who betrayed Christ and Brutus who stabbed Caesar. The mouthpiece came down heavily on Veerendra Kumar soon after the CPM state committee gave a green signal for the entry of JD (U) to the LDF.

CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and opposition leader V S Achuthanandan had held talks with Veerendra Kumar. Not only that the absence of Veerendra Kumar from the UDF meet convened must have provoked them in writing the article.  The meeting with CPM leaders has also been criticized.

The mouthpiece has reminded that M V Raghavan and K R Gowri Amma, ousted by the CPM, were given shelter. When the RSP were ousted from the LDF, their honour were safeguarded by giving them a sitting seat, claimed the mouthpiece.
