OCHIRA: Rajasekharan Pillai (70), father of Youth Congress state vice president C R Mahesh, died in an accident in Madurai. He was fatally knocked down by a bus in front of the Madurai railway station. Though he was taken to the hospital, his life could not be saved. His body would be brought to his house by evening.
The accident happened while he was to board a train to return back to his native place with his wife. He went to Madurai for his wife’s eye treatment. The home department who reached the place after knowing the incident have taken emergency steps to bring the body home. His body would be cremated later. Many including Mahesh and his elder brother Manoj, a contractor and CPI Karunagapally local committee member, have reached Madurai.
