THRISSUR: Minister C N Balakrishnan is not for any compromise even though protests are strong in the Thrissur Congress for suggesting his daughter’s name for the mayor’s post. ‘A’ group leaders are against his daughter C B Geetha contesting for the Thrissur corporation mayor post as it will affect the winning chances of the UDF. However, C N Balakrishnan is not for any compromise. DCC president O Abdurehman held talks with the minister Monday morning at his residence.
Meantime, C B Geetha said that she has expressed her willingness to contest and a decision has to be taken by the party. Talking to a private channel, she said the opposition is insignificant.
