Saswathikananda’s death: Chennithala seeks Crime branch report

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has sought the report of Crime Branch regarding the death of Swami Saswathikananda. The minister’s action came in the backdrop of rising demand for continuation of investigation in the case.

The home minister took this decision after holding discussions with Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and KPCC president VM Sudheeran.

The home minister has asked the Crime Branch to see whether there are sufficient grounds for further investigation in the case and submit a report on that. The Crime Branch had investigated the case earlier also and they had found it to be a case of natural death.
