Human Rights files case against Nisham for 'making phone calls' from jail

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State Human Rights panel has suo-motu filed a case against Chandrabose murder case convict Nisham Muhammed based on the media reports that he had made telephone calls from jail to control his business world outside.

Human Rights Commission Acting Chairman P Mohan Das ordered that jail IG probe the matter in detail and submit the report within one month.

In its sitting to be held in Kannur in November, the Commission will consider the case. The Commission pointed out that Nisham could be running business from jail with the help of policemen.
