Minister Jaleel’s Facebook post on Sabarimala visit goes viral

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister K T Jaleel’s Facebook post on his visit to the famous Ayyappa Temple in Sabarimala, has gone viral. He visited the temple to evaluate the arrangements for the festive season. The friendship between Ayyappan and Vavar, a Muslim, still exists stronger and we should rejuvenate that good old times again, he wrote in his Facebook page.

After climbing the hills, we reached Sannidhanam early Saturday morning at 1.15 am. Spent the night there. Went around the sree kovil and then came before Ayyapan. Nobody is banned here. Reached before Vavar, facing west to the sreekovil, and offered prayers, he wrote.

There was a huge response for the minister’s post. Many termed the visit as a bold step. Some commented that his visit has surprised many.

The minister visited the shrine along with Minister Kadakampally Surendran.
