Women journalists’ complaint will be handed over to DGP: Women's Commission

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Women’s Commission Chairman K C Rosa Kutty teacher has informed that she would hand over to the DGP the complaint given by women journalists against lawyers.

“Humiliating women journalists in the public is a bad precedence. The lawyers themselves coming forward to break law is unjustifiable. All steps will be taken to withdraw the case against journalists in connection with the clash at Vanchiyoor court premise, if the cases are found to be fake ones. The Commission’s suggestions in this regard will also be submitted to the DGP. The lawyers have also humiliated womanhood by setting up flux boards with pictures of woman journalists. The Commission will also try to bring the real culprits before the law. Media persons should be given the opportunity to function with freely,” she said.
