Sebastian Paul suspended from advocates association

KOCHI: Senior advocate and Left fellow traveller Dr Sebastian Paul, who criticised the court after supporting the media openly on the issue between the advocates and media, has been suspended by the high court advocates association.

He was suspended following his speech delivered in Kozhikode in connection with the media ban in the court. Action was taken pointing violation of rules of the advocates association. Disciplinary action would also be taken against him.

Attending a media seminar organised at the Kozhikode Press Club, he asked reporters to prepare a surgical strike against the court ban and then turned on the judges saying they are supporting the ban which has not been seen in the history of the country.

Silent dirty games are played in the court with the support of the judges. Many including the chief justice are supporting it, alleged Paul.

The problem started when government advocate Dhanesh Manjooran abused a woman during night time.
