Vigilance noose tightens around K Babu; arrest feared

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In the disproportionate assets case, Vigilance has questioned former minister K Babu again.

The other day he was questioned in the bar bribery case. The detail interrogation was held today at 10:30 am at Vigilance Special Cell Office. The Vigilance had prepared a questionnaire comprising 100 questions. If there are contradictions in his answers, he will be called again to be questioned. The Congress camp now fears his arrest in this regard.    

The Vigilance will also probe the wedding expense of Babu’s daughter. It has received a statement that 200 sovereign gold was given as dowry to her daughter’s in-laws. Bank accounts, call details of Babu and his alleged benamis, letters benamis wrote to the then home minister and Vigilance director are the evidence currently in possession of the Vigilance.
