Jacob Thomas writes to CBI director

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Vigilance Director Jacob Thomas has written to CBI director against the CBI filing an affidavit in the high court that probe could also be conducted against him.

He pointed out in the letter that such an affidavit was weird.

The case pertains to the allegation that Jacob Thomas took leave and went to teach in a private college. In the affidavit it is said that the CBI is ready to take over the case.

Jacob Thomas alleged that affidavit was filed without following normal procedures.

He asks in the letter whether the affidavit against him was filed with the permission of the CBI director.

The Vigilance director also questioned the special interest shown by the CBI in taking up the case, which was not allegedly shown in other cases.
