CPM will not protect goons, says Kodiyeri

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The CPM will not protect the goons who indulge in goonda activities, sad party state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. Nobody in the party is engaged in such activities. The opposition gets nervous when they hear about Kannur, he told reporters here. He made the statement soon after Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan made a statement in the assembly that goons would not be protected.

Vigilance director Jacob Thomas just expressed his doubt that his phone is being tapped. Allegations can be levelled against anybody. They are just allegations till it is proved. Thomas is an official is against corruption, pointed Kodiyeri.

The court verdict against former chief minister Oommen Chandy in the solar case has proved right the allegations levelled by the LDF. His stand that his version was not heard is not suitable for his post.

The reporters should be given a situation to work freely. Those who attack reporters should be seen as criminals. A section of the advocates work against the society, he said.
