25 kilos of gold robbed in Aluva

ALUVA: Twenty five kilograms of gold worth Rs six crore taken to the gold refinery in a car was stolen. Two bike-borne men robbed the gold taken to CRG Metals at Edayar in Aluva. The incident happened late last night.

The bike-borne men attacked the car when it reached the refinery. They stole the gold after smashing the glass panes. The police has started an investigation. The accused may have had prior knowledge about the gold.

Top officials including the SP have sought a report. A detailed search will be conducted in the morning.

The police is examining whether those involved in such type of incidents earlier has a role in it. Gold taken to banks and jewellery shops was robbed earlier in a similar manner.
