THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former BJP State president V Muraleedharan has said appointing E P Jayarajan’s sister-in-law’s son Sudheer Nambiyar K S as Kerala State Industrial Estate MD is a naked abuse of power. He urged the government to remove him immediately from that post.
Muraleedharan said, when Sreemathy was the health minister during the previous LDF’s tenure, her son Sudheer and Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan’s son had run a medical company under a benami name. They even sold through Medical Services Corporation medicines even after their expiry dates. When UDF came to power after election, this company disappeared. “I have asked the Vigilance department to probe dealing of the medicine company and Sudheer’s business establishments abroad. The government should freeze the appointments of leaders’ sons and relatives as MDs. And if this continues, BJP will not sit quietly,” he said.
