THIRUVANNTHAPURAM: Without supporting E P Jayarajan in the appointment issue, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan informed the assembly that he was not aware of the appointment of Sudheer Nambiar as the head of the Kerala State Industrial Enterprises. Appointments in public sector organizations come under the consideration of the minister concerned, he said while replying to the notice for an adjournment motion moved by the opposition.
The LDF Government will not protect any tainted ministers like the UDF. Jayarajan resigned in order to uphold values. It will be difficult for the opposition to approve it, he said.
However, V D Satheesan who sought permission for the adjournment motion said it is hard to believe that the chief minister was not aware of the appointments. His argument is against logic, he said.
Meantime, speaker denied permission following chief minister’s explanation. In protest against it, the opposition walked out of the assembly.
