THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Industries Minister E P Jayarajan, who is involved in the appointment of relatives controversy called on CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan. He called on Kodiyeri soon after central committee member M C Josephine lodged a complaint against him. Jayarajan has briefed Kodiyeri the situation to appoint his relative. Soon after the controversy, the appointment was cancelled, said Jayarajan.
However, it is hinted that Kodiyeri has expressed dissatisfaction on Kodiyeri’s act. The issue has stained the image of the government. Kodiyeri criticized the act of Jayarajan, who reacted to the media on the controversy. His statement that many of his relatives would be in chief posts shows his pride. However Jayarajan said that it was a quick response.
Kodiyeri has apprised Jayarajan that many in the party oppose his act. The issue would be examined by the state secretariat. Kodiyeri has directed Jayarajan not to make any controversial statements again.
