P J Joseph given temporary charge of Kerala Congress (M) chairman

KOTTAYAM: P J Joseph has got the temporary charge of Kerala Congress (Mani) chairman. He will hold the temporary charge till a new chairman is chosen. The decision was announced by general secretary advocate Joy Abraham, who has the organisational responsibility.

It was asserted earlier that district presidents wanted Jose K Mani to lead the party. However, Joseph faction had expressed dissatisfaction on it. Joseph had clarified that there is no such directive and also there is no instruction to make C F Thomas the parliamentary party leader.

A factional feud has intensified in the party between Joseph and Jose K Mani factions after the death of party chairman K M Mani. However, the leaders are not ready to confirm it officially.
