SABARIMALA: Kerala’s all-time great sportswoman P T Usha has headed towards Sabarimala Ayyappa Swami temple. The palli kettu ritual for Usha was performed by Arayakkoor native Vijayan at Thiruvangadu Vadakkedam Siva temple at 10 in the morning. This is for the first time that Usha is going to Sabarimala. Her husband Sreenivasan and other relatives accompanied her.
The pilgrims who started from Kozhikode yesterday will go via Thrippayar, Kodungallore, Chottanikkara, Vaikom and Ettumanoor, visiting temples at these places.
The team which will reach Pampa today will climb the hillock afternoon. “It was my childhood wish to visit Sabarimala,” Usha said.
