KILIMANOOR: Two labourers were critically injured after an open air auditorium at Pulimathu panchayat collapsed as the repair works were going on.
The injured, identified as Akshay (21) and Santhosh (31), have been admitted to Medical College hospital.
The incident happened at around 12 noon today. During the repair works, the main beam collapsed and fell over the labourers.
The rescue operation was carried out by some locals and passersby. Santhosh, who had sustained a major head injury, was subjected to emergency operation at the Medical College.
Kilimanoor police have started investigating the incident.
