ULLOOR: Some students today blocked the office of Medical College Principal, demanding withdrawal of suspension of a few MBBS students following a tussle among them.
The strike started today morning. 18 students were suspended after the clash between 2012 and 2104 batches. Difference of opinions over point levels in the College youth festival had resulted in the fighting among students.
The incident had happened in the MBBS main hostel at the Medical College-Kumarapuram road. The police who reached the spot soon after the incident arrested 12 students from there. Though students were let off after a compromise was reached in a meeting attended by the college principal, hostel warden and Medical College CI C Binukumar, the students had to be suspend after they clashed again in the night.
