AAP ready to form Govt in Delhi

GHAZIABAD: Decks have been cleared for the Aam Admi Party-led government in Delhi with the party convenor Arvind Kejriwal saying it is willing to form the government.

Kejriwal will meet Lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung Kejriwal to stake claim to form government. AAP leader Manish Sisodia said Kejriwal will head the new government in Delhi. After getting the approval of Jung, the oath-taking will take place at Jantar Mantar, Sisodia said.

Meanwhile, Sheila Dikshit welcomed AAP’s decision to form government and hoped that it will be able to fulfill the promises made to people.

Kejriwal had earlier said that forming the government and delivering on its promises would ultimately be beneficial for AAP in next year’s general elections. A majority of the participants in the four public meetings organised in his constituency voted for government formation.

However, BJP reacting sharply to the development. "AAP move to form govt with Congress support is compromise of its principles and betrayal of people’s verdict", party leader Harsh Vardhan said.
