AAP to contest in Kerala also

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In the coming Lok Sabha election, Aam Admi Party will contest in a few seats, AAP leader and Supreme Court advocate Prashant Bhushan has said. Later, decisions would be taken on which all seats the party should contest.

Addressing media persons after receiving Advocate Pirappincode Sreedharan Nair Award from CPM leader V S Achuthanandan here on Saturday, he said the AAP would hold political parleys with Achuthanandan. Bhushan, who lauded V S as an honest leader, was also all praise for the CPI.

Bhushan said: “Aam Admi’s aim is to overhaul the power centres in the administrative framework. Governments, Parliament and legal authorities are all in the unholy clutches of corporate mafias. It is high time the situation changed. For this, change should also happen in the democratic set up. It is not enough that people vote; they should also take part in the formulation of laws and policy making processes. Aam Admi will strive for this.”

He also added that corruption and vested interest in administration had saw the rise of  the AAP.
