KASARGODE: A Muslim League leader and her sister died and in a car accident on Saturday at Kumbala Perward National Highway. Three persons were seriously injured in the incident.
The accident happened when the car in which they were travelling had hit a big stone and turned into a pit.
The deceased leader A A Ibrahim, 48, was the State treasurer of Swatantra Thozhilali Union (STU), a trade union organisation of Muslim League. His sister was Suhara, 44, from Mogral, the other person who died.
Suhara’s husband, A T Muhammad kunju (51), Ibrahim’s wife Sainaba and mother Sainabi have been admitted to a private hospital in Mangalapuram.
However, Suhra’s daughter Julaila had a miraculous escape in the incident. The accident occurred at 3 in the morning and all in the car were going towards Bayar Jummah Mosque on the occasion of its anniversary.
