KOCHI: The Kerala High Court rejected M G University vice chancellor Dr A V George’s plea filed against Governor’s notice to state the reason for not ousting him from the post. Rejecting the plea, the court said they cannot intervene in governor’s notice. So now the vice chancellor will have to give an explanation in a week’s time.
Meantime, the court has granted him two weeks time to give an explanation.
The Governor also the chancellor of the university issued the show-cause notice to the vice chancellor on December 24 after the allegation regarding his ineligibility was found true.
George’s bio-data showed that he was the head of the department of Environmental Science at Central University of Kasargod. But on investigation, it was found that he was only on deputation for six months in the university.
