THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The State cabinet meeting on Wednesday decided to go for a major reshuffle among top-level police officers.
Former DGP, Prisons, Alexander Jacob has been given the charge of Fireforce department upgradation. He will take over the assignment from DGP Jangpangi who is due to retire shortly. Sen Kumar has been made a DGP.
S Anandakrishnan, K Padmakumar, and Nithin Agarwal will be made ADGPs. However their batch-mates Tomin Tachankary and Sreejith were not given promotion as they have been the subjects of controversies and even several cases are registered against them.
ADGP Vijayanand has been made the managing director of Civil Supplies Cooperation whereas Aruna Sundarraj has been made the director of State Industrial Development Corporation.
