Noisy scenes witnessed in JD (U) district council meet


KOZHIKODE: Some noisy scenes were witnessed at the Kozhikode district council meet of the JD (U) convened to discuss their stand regarding the change in front.

Some verbal disputes broke out between the members at the meet attended by JD (U) state president M P Veerendra Kumar. The party did not get justice from the UDF and defeated the candidates in the last polls, Veerendra Kumar opined at the meet. The verbal dispute broke out after a section of the leaders wanted to leave the front in the name of it. Veerendra Kumar later intervened and calmed them down.

However, Minister K P Mohanan opined that a favorable situation has not been formed for a change in front and a change has not been seen in the attitude of the CPM. The minister who reached late for the function left before the meet ended.
