Nothing wrong in Babu returning as minister: Sudheeran

KOCHI: There is nothing wrong in K Babu returning back as minister, said KPCC chief V M Sudheeran. Talking to reporters here, he said the judgement of the lower court has become irrelevant after the Kerala High Court has stayed the decision of the Thrissur Vigilance Court directing to register an FIR against Babu.

The high court had stated that the vigilance court passed the verdict after violating the guidelines of the Supreme Court and the High Court. In this situation, there is nothing wrong in Babu taking over the ministership.

There is an unholy nexus between the CPM and the liquor lobby and that is why the former is saying that the liquor policy accepted by the public would be changed. This attitude shows the CPM’s challenge to democracy. There is a conspiracy on the allegations levelled against the government. CPM leaders had offered a house and Rs 10 crore cash to Saritha S Nair, who levelled the allegation. None of the CPM leaders have so far denied this, he said.

The CPM is intolerant in the administration of the UDF Government and that is why they are unleashing violence in venues attended by ministers. We are not saying not to protest against the government but violent protests is not a right thing.
Sudheeran said taking action against those who attacked former diplomat T P Sreenivasan is not enough. The first response of CPM politburo member Pinarayi Vijayan that the party is not willing to end attacks, shows the attitude of the CPM.
